Ludlow’s Festival of the Forest returns this June

The Festival of the Forest is taking place within the unique landscape of Mortimer Forest on June 11th 2023, from 10-4pm at Monstay Farm just outside Ludlow.

It promises to be a celebration of this very special area on the South Shropshire and North Herefordshire border.

The festival will include traditional woodland craft demonstrations, arena events, trade stands, plant sales and a vintage tractor display. There will be lots of children’s activities including face painting and pottery making. Along with live demonstrations of wood carving and longbow making, there will also be chainsaw art, a plant sale, guided woodland walks and vintage machines from Brimfield Vintage.

The woodland crafts will include green woodworking, weaving, pottery and more. There will also be several charities showcasing their work and you’ll find lots of food and drink stands and shops selling local produce, arts and crafts.

Festival organiser, Lydia Underhill says, “We hope to attract as many visitors this year as possible, it is a fun day for all the family to enjoy in the heart of the beautiful Mortimer Forest”


Exhibitors and useful info

Tickets on sale on the door: adults £5, children under 12 are free. Parking on site is free and camping at Monstay Farm is available.
