The idea of alfresco dining is becoming a little less appealing as nights draw in. We still want to meet up with friends and family for a meal out but the latest social distancing restrictions mean you can only do this in a group of six. Where in Ludlow accommodates this number? We put that question to our readers, who gave us their top choices to dine out in and around Ludlow for six people. The good news is there is plenty of choice, here are the recommendations (in no particular order):


The Queens Pub

Set in the heart of historic Ludlow, The Queens is a family run freehold pub with a warm and informal atmosphere. This popular local pub specialises in real ales and homemade, traditional dishes. Enjoy home- cooked food in their lovely vaulted ceiling restaurant or relax with a few drinks at the bar.

The light, airy and charming Elliotts Bistro and Bar, which has its own entrance next to the Dinham Hall Hotel, serves modern English and Mediterranean cuisine in a delightful conservatory setting overlooking the gardens and ornamental pool. Situated on the iconic Ludford Bridge, a short walk from the town centre of Ludlow. The Blue Boar

The Blue Boar was built in 1650 and its story continues today. Great local beers and fine wines compliment a traditional atmosphere for all those who like to drink eat and converse either outside in the patio-style garden or by a warm crackling fire.
