Great Easter Dragon Egg Hunt

Calling all knights, princesses, and general dragon egg hunting superstars! Ludlow Castle is holding an extra special event during the Easter break. It will be perfect for school holiday entertainment, and a great day out for the whole family. From the 13th to the 28th April, there will be The Great Easter Dragon Egg Hunt at the castle, and you are all invited!

A pesky dragon has visited the castle and laid some eggs in all sorts of nooks and crannies. The castle needs some talented egg hunters to follow the trail and find all the eggs, which have ended up in some novel and interesting places. Make sure you find them all before they hatch and cause dragon chaos in Ludlow!

The dragon egg hunt will be a fun way to explore the medieval ruins and stunning grounds, keeping youngsters enthralled and engaged.

Budding egg hunters will be supplied with a trail map and pencil to keep track of their findings, and there will be small prizes up for grabs. The trail will only cost £1.50 in addition to the cost of admission to the castle.

Ludlow Castle is one of the finest medieval ruins in England. Set in the glorious Shropshire countryside at the heart of the bustling black and white market town of Ludlow. The castle holds many events throughout the year, including a spring festival in May. For details on opening and closing times, admission princes and events at the castle, head to for more information.

After a busy day of egg hunting and exploring at the castle, you are welcome to refuel at the Castle Kitchen, or pick up a souvenir for the day from the Castle Gift Shop.

Good luck egg hunters, and make sure you keep your eye out for news on a dragon invasion at the castle this summer!

Over the Easter weekend itself meet our resident wizard who will entertain you with his stories of great courage and maybe even treat you to a few magical spells.

This event promises to be a great fun egg hunt with a difference aimed at primary aged children.

The Egg hunt will be an additional £1.50 charge to the general admission price and include a prize.
