Women's bike maintenance

A workshop is designed for women wishing to learn how to keep a bike roadworthy and acquire the skills to make roadside repairs. We will teach you maintenance skills in a friendly all-female environment. You’ll get to meet like minded women within the area whilst learning basic bike maintenance.

£20 bone-shaker or £2,000 of performance loveliness, glass and thorns make no distinction, learn to carry on your ride by fitting a new tube, we will cover the following:
• Remove wheels
• Remove tyres
• Take out tubes and fit new ones
• Re-fit wheels

When:
• Thursday 7th March 2019
• Rockspring community centre, Sandford Road, Ludlow, Shropshire, SY8 1SX
• 6-8pm – tea/cake, pizza and vegetarian sausage rolls will be available from The Working Together Cafe on site.

What do you need to bring?
• Your bike! Let us know in advance what bike you have and send us a quick photo via Salopian Tubes messenger.
• A spare inner tube that fits your tyre
• Tyre levers
• Hand pump

Cost:
FREE. This workshop and hopefully more to come are part of a wider outreach programme to promote cycling whilst empowering women and increasing confidence to build a women’s cycling community in and around Ludlow.
