“Spring emerges” print
This 39 x 44 cm print features a small herd of the fallow deer that you often catch fleeting glimpses of when walking in Mortimer’s Forest. The fallow here are a rare subspecies, some having slightly longer, fluffier coats, especially notable are their long ear tufts. The fallow are set amongst a misty ethereal forest background with soft sunlight filtering through the trees and fallen leaves, snowdrops and scarlet elf cup fungus at the deers’ feet, a spotted woodpecker also flies through the scene. Hopefully the print brings back memories of woodland walks to any nature lovers or perhaps remind local people of time spent in this beautiful area during lockdown.
