Christmas gift shopping

Saturday, 6th November: Ludlow Mums are holding a Craft Table Top Sale at Ludlow Elim Church with proceeds going to Hands Together Ludlow. Entry is free to customers.

Tuesday, 9th November: The annual Ludlow Christmas Fair held at Ludlow Racecourse In aid of the League of Friends of The Orthopaedic Hospital Oswestry. Entry is £5 with over 50 beautiful stalls selling items you might like to buy for Christmas presents, or simply for yourself.

Saturday, 27th November 2021: At the Broome Park B&B Christmas Fair in aid of Severn Hospice from 11am to 3pm. Severn Hospice Crafters will be selling handmade gifts and decorations in aid of Severn Hospice. There will also be hot drinks, cakes and mince pies, a raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac stall and Severn Hospice Christmas cards on sale

Friday, 26th – Sunday, 28th November: The Christmas Experience at Ludlow Racecourse includes shopping, decorations, meeting Santa and festive food and drinks.

Saturday, 27th & Sunday, 28th November: Get ready for historic revelry, entertainment and shopping at the one and only Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre at Ludlow Castle. Leading local businesses and regular performers will again be on board for the 2021 Fayre, with its unique mix of theatre, music, comedy and storytelling, along with workshops, tours, demonstrations and more art and culture.

Arts and Crafts

Friday, 5th November: Join Mosaic Artist Lindsey Kennedy for a day of Beginners’ Mosaics at Loudwater Community Arts. Perfect for beginners, or those who want to improve their skills, you will learn how to create a colourful mosaic design. Also at Loudwater, Creating with Silver Clay on Friday, 19th November and Pinch Pot Birds on Friday, 26th November.

Saturday, 6th & Sunday, 7th November: Visit the inugural Ludlow Fine Book Fair at Ludlow Racecourse. Meet experts, see the best in traditional bookbinding, fine letterpress printing and crafts. Bring in your books in need of repair. Shop for the perfect gift at the stands of regional publishers and antiquarian book dealers. Visit stands selling crafts, stationery, cards, art prints and marbled papers.

Saturday, 13 November 2021 : ‘The Landscape’ Art Exhibition at Twenty Twenty Gallery is on from 10.30am to 4pm. Exhibiting artists include Zoe Taylor, Annie Ovenden, Cheryl Culver, Ross Loveday and Sharon Griffin.

Tuesday, 16th November: Enjoy a fun day of Green Willow Weaving, one of the oldest crafts in the world at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre. Learn how to make a willow Christmas tree and a flower hurdle to take home with you. £45 per person or £40.50 for members — includes tea, coffee and cake. Booking essential, from 10am – 4pm. P.S. if you have secateurs please take them with you!

Friday, 26 November: Enjoy the four-mile Santa Safari Drive-through, a snowy Winter Wonderland & a visit Santa in his Grotto at West Midland Safari Park.

Saturday, 27 November: Follow the stars that take you on a walk around the ‘Big Pool’ and take part in the walk-along Christmas quiz on the Bodenham Arboretum Nativity Trail . Tickets £6.50 per adult, £3.50 per child (under 5s free), Family Ticket – 2 Adults, 4 Children – £18.00. Booking required for non members

And the rest…

The newly refurbished Ludlow Assembly Rooms has reopened and the box-office is now open for ticket sales with a full autumn programme featuring opera, film, comedy, book sale and art exhibition. And from 1st November the wonderful Bill’s Kitchen will be open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm so you can pop in for a bite to eat and a glass of wine before your film or show.

Fireworks

Music and Fireworks at Moor Park School

Moor Park School present their annual ‘Musical Fireworks Display and Bonfire Night’ on Saturday, 6th November from 5pm onwards. Cash bar and BBQ available. Tickets on the gate, adults £7 and children £5.

Saturday 6th November: The Cory Band from Wales — ‘the best Brass Band in the World’ — come to Ludlow for a concert in the wonderful St Laurence Church.

4th & 22nd November: They’re under starter’s orders at Ludlow Races.. Jump season started again in October and the racecourse has enjoyed welcoming punters back after a long break. Gates are open 2 hours before the first race though please note the first race times are subject to change.

Sunday, 14th November: Enjoy a superb Sunday roast at The Cliffe at Dinham, whilst relaxing with the mellow tones of Jazz from their local Quartet. Music from 12.30pm until 3pm. Booking recommended

Sunday 14th November: The Remembrance Sunday Parade will take place at Ludlow Town Square on from 10.15am-11am.

Friday 26th November 2021 (5-9pm) and Saturday 27th November 2021 (10am-6pm) it’s this year’s Medieval Bazaar at St Laurence’s Church featuring dozens of stalls from local artists and makers. A huge variety of gifts will be available – from silver jewellery, art prints, and cards to upcycled tweed items, products from local beehives, new and second-hand books, gifts for your pets and more! They’ll have a bar on Friday evening, and food will be available on Saturday.
