When Kim and Rob Hurst first established The Cottage Herbery in 1976, it was primarily with the view to growing quality herbs, aromatic and scented foliage plants. The Cottage Herbery is an award winning nursery having won numerous awards throughout its career, including the most coveted award: a Chelsea Gold Medal.

From the very beginning, every plant at the Cottage Herbery has been grown naturally and peat free. Its ethos is if you are producing a plant for natural flavouring, healing and fragrance then that plant should be produced naturally. Now also grown on the Nursery is an interesting selection of hardy perennials and the more unusual edibles.

Kim and Rob are regular stall holders at Ludlow market and many other local farmers’ markets and plant fairs. During lockdown, they have continued to grow and deliver their plants and herbs across the region.

The Cottage Herbery is offering a FREE delivery service for orders over £35 in a designated postcode area such as Tenbury Wells, Ludlow & surrounding villages, Leintwardine, Bishops Castle, Clun, Leominster, Bromyard, Clifton, down to HR1 and all in between.
