I’m Charlie from Charlie Bell’s Books in Ludlow, which I set up, because I wanted to share my love of quality Usborne products as well as my love of reading and learning. I live in Ludlow with my husband and 19 month old little boy. I love where I live and even though I have left the area briefly in the past, I have always returned and now here to stay. You can’t beat the sight of Clee Hill approaching in the distance, giving you that ‘I’m nearly home’ feeling!
But I am writing about another initiative that I am equally as excited about which is a collective with other small businesses in Ludlow to support each other and to generate a greater local market presence. We are hosting a virtual event, we would love people to attend, called the Ludlow Autumn Fair held 24th & 25th October 2020.
There are 25 small businesses taking part and each will have a 30-minute time slot over the two days to showcase their products and services. If you attend the Autumn Fair it will be a similar experience to browsing a market but without the worries of wearing a mask or the weather.
This will be the third event I have organised this year and includes the Ludlow Virtual Fayre 2020 held back in June. The main feedback I received consistently was that many people did not know that these small businesses even existed, thus confirming the value of these events particularly given the coronavirus pandemic.
