The interior is a soft palette of greys and neutrals throughout with a subtle nod to Ludlow’s culture and history woven into the wallpaper decorating the back wall.
The tea room menu according to Crest Hotels is a quintessential British Tea. Visitors can expect a choice of afternoon teas, along with mouth-watering treats, pastries and baked goods.
Crest Hotels bought the 17th century hotel in December last year and is investing more than £1 million to re-position the 40-bedroom property. It is currently undergoing major renovation that includes an aesthetic makeover to public areas, rooms and a function suite. As well as overhauling the plumbing throughout, refurbishing all bedrooms and corridors, the new owners are adding a relaxing lounge, welcome area and a restaurant.
The tea room is hopefully setting the stage for things to come with The Feathers Hotel, which is such an important part of Ludlow local history. Jason Hiley, Group Operations Director for Crest Hotels said: “This has been a long time in the planning but we are absolutely delighted that the doors to the hotel are open once again with our fabulous new tea room. The decision to create a tea room felt like the natural choice…we feel it really compliments the high street perfectly.”
