Countdown time to the annual Fringe Festival in Ludlow running from 15th – 30th June with a jam packed programme of more than 100 events across 40 venues around town for everyone to enjoy. Drawing from international, national and local talent from across the spectrum in music, comedy, theatre, film, cabaret, poetry, dance and visual art to inspire and excite the senses.
This year promises to create a real buzz of excitement with numerous noteworthy performances to look forward to. Other Fringe favourites include the annual production of Shakespeare in the Castle. This year, Henry V will be brought to life for five nights, with Ludlow Castle’s medieval walls providing the atmospheric backdrop.

Composer and flamenco guitarist, Daniel Martinez
Daniel Martinez returns to Ludlow’s Fringe Festival with his must-see production ‘Art of Believing’. Alongside exceptional musicians, singers, guitarists, percussionists, a violinist and a dancer, Daniel Martinez promises an unforgettable evening. Be captivated by an exemplary Flamenco experience, bursting with passion and authenticity, performed in the stunning setting of St Laurence’s – the largest parish church in Shropshire. 15th June 7.30pm – 9.30pm. Daniel will also perform a traditional en plein air ‘Tablao Flamenco’ at Parkway Restaurant. Filled with raw talent from the heart of Andalucía this promises to be a thrilling Flamenco Fiesta. 16th June 7.30pm – 9.30pm. Tickets £20 includes tapas and a glass of Sangria!
Jazz and blues guitarist, Remi Harris
Also raising the roof of St Laurence’s will be sensational jazz and blues guitarist, Remi Harris. His unique style draws inspiration from artists such as Django Reinhardt, Jimi Hendrix, Wes Montgomery, Peter Green and Led Zeppelin. He has performed at Buckingham Palace, Montreal Jazz Festival, BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, on BBC 4 Television and live on BBC Radio 2 & 3. Described by Jamie Cullum as ‘an extraordinary musician’, Remi will dazzle his audience with a mix of jazz standards, improvisation and original compositions and new arrangements. 19th June 8.00pm – 10.15pm. Peaky Blinders Ludlow Brewery Takeover
If you want to be part of the action, don a flat cap or flapper dress and take a journey back in time with the Peaky Blinders Ludlow Brewery Takeover. Dress up to the nines and join in an evening of beer-soaked fun with themed 1920s entertainment, burlesque, live music and DJ playing vintage beats and songs from the hit TV show. 21st June 7.30pm – 11.00pm. Comedy talent
Comedy has always been a cornerstone of the Ludlow Fringe from stand up, mad-cap magical escapades to funny theatre . With 35 shows during the festival, there is sure to be some rib-tickling laughs on the agenda. Well-known names include Mark Thomas, Nick Helm, Lou Sanders and Stephen Carlin, an eclectic mix of comedy circuit regulars plus up and coming new faces.
Grand Finale
This year, the Ludlow Fringe’s Grand Finale introduces The Ratpack meet Elvis at Ludlow Brewery. There’ll be three great performances, cocktails and a prize for the best dressed swinging cats – so let’s face the music and dance. 30th June 7.30pm – 10.30pm. Tickets £12/£10
